Elif Batuman

Elif Batuman is a Turkish-American author and staff writer at The New Yorker, where she covers literature and culture. Her first book, The Possessed, a collection of essays on Russian literature and her own literary education, established her as a singular voice in contemporary letters. She followed The Idiot with the sequel Either/Or in 2022.
