John Berendt

John Berendt is an American journalist and author who served as an editor at Esquire and New York magazine. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil was his debut book and became one of the bestselling works of narrative nonfiction in publishing history. He later wrote The City of Falling Angels, set in Venice.
