Lois Lowry

Lois Lowry is an American author who has written more than forty books for children and young adults over a career spanning five decades. She has won the Newbery Medal twice — for Number the Stars in 1990 and The Giver in 1994. Her work often confronts difficult social and moral questions with clarity and compassion.
