Markus Zusak

Markus Zusak is an Australian author born in 1975 to Austrian and German immigrants, whose stories of wartime Europe deeply influenced his writing. The Book Thief, published in 2005, became an international phenomenon, translated into over 40 languages and adapted into a major film.
