Monique Roffey

Monique Roffey is a Trinidad-born, London-based novelist whose work draws deeply on Caribbean mythology, ecology, and the postcolonial experience. She won the Costa Novel Award in 2020 for The Mermaid of Black Conch. She is a lecturer in creative writing and an advocate for Caribbean literature.
