Patti Smith

Patti Smith is a poet, visual artist, and musician whose 1975 album Horses is widely credited with fusing rock and poetry. Born in Chicago and raised in New Jersey, she moved to New York City in 1967. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007 and has written numerous books.
