Paul Kalanithi

Paul Kalanithi was a neurosurgeon and writer who graduated from Stanford and Yale School of Medicine. Diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in 2013 while completing his residency, he spent his remaining months writing this memoir. He died in March 2015, aged 37, before it was published.
