Sherman Alexie

Sherman Alexie is a Spokane/Coeur d'Alene American author, poet, and filmmaker whose work draws on his upbringing on the Spokane Indian Reservation. He is the author of numerous novels, story collections, and poetry books, and won the National Book Award for Young People's Literature for The Absolutely True Diary. His writing is celebrated for its wit, honesty, and piercing social commentary.
