Is The Dawn of the Cursed Queen Worth Reading?
Ada’s Score
The third Gods and Monsters book sends Dianna into sacrifice to save Samkiel after a devastating battle. Nicole delivers the operatic yearning and divine stakes her series runs on, and the emotional payoffs land for those invested in the couple. The prose, however, leans hard on repetition and interior monologue that stalls the pacing well past the midpoint. This is a book for the already-converted, not a jumping-in point.
“The series devotion is real and the emotional swings hit hard for fans. But the prose circles the same feelings so often it loses propulsion.”

Rating: 3.6 / 5
Ada’s reservations
Repetitive past the midpoint: interior monologue and restated longing stall the momentum the battle sets up. Newcomers will be lost; series devotees get the payoff they came for.
Ada’s score reflects both strengths and reservations.
